Summary of Position:
The Job Developer position is responsible for the development and placement of Easterseals participants to ensure successful competitive employment. This position reports directly to the Career Development Manager.

Essential Job Functions:
• Responsible for researching open positions by utilizing Internet resources as well as local newspapers and job fairs.
• Establishing Assessment sites in the community.
• Establish and continue solid relationships with local businesses which allow the placement of individuals with disabilities.
• Provides direct support to individuals served.
• After 90-days probationary period, must be able to place participant in a community job at least one per month.
• Regularly attend and network at Desert Regional Center, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Affairs, and Clark County School District meetings.
• Conduct speaking engagements to ensure Easterseals Nevada name recognition with our community partners and stakeholders.
• Attend meetings as needed to ensure that individuals are placed in the appropriate community settings which will consider their behavior, mental, and physical limitations. 
• Responsible for documenting and reporting compliance per agency. Provides weekly, monthly and annual reports to the Manager on progress of Job Development and Placements. 
• Responsible for completing all documentation and reports for billing per referring agency. 
• Provides or secures follow along and job coaching services for all individuals as needed.
• Responsible for visiting community worksites on a weekly basis, if applicable.
• Arrives at work at the scheduled time, works required days and follows proper procedures for calling in or requesting days off.
• Participates in job related training offered at Easterseals Nevada, Vocational Rehabilitation, Desert Regional Center, Veterans Affair, and other local training sites in an effort to increase skills and improve current skills.
• Presents self in a professional and appropriate manner towards trainees, co-workers and others in the industry. 
• Any other program related duties assigned by Sr. Program Director, Vice President of Programs or President/CEO.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Solid established contacts in the community that allow immediate placements.
• Ability to use discretion and independent judgment.
• Ability to work with people that have severe, profound and multiple disabilities on a daily basis.
• Ability to handle pressure in a positive manner.
• Promotes a positive, professional image and interacts well with co-workers, parents and the community. 
• Willingness to participate in and actively increase knowledge in progressive services to people with disabilities. 
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
• Exceptional computer skills, minimum requirement is Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
• Ability to provide accurate case documentation. 
• Ability to follow the Easterseals Nevada dress code. 
• Current certification in CPR/First Aid (must obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Must be able to have flexible work schedule which may include working evenings and weekends.

Work Environment
Ability to be out in Las Vegas area outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, wind, poor air quality and wet or humid conditions, etc.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• A minimum of one year experience in a related field
• Must have reliable transportation

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, frequently talk or hear, reach with hands, lift arms above and below shoulder level, occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 5 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. On regular occasions lift and/or move up to 50lbs and can request assistance if needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision.
